Hello There,
It’s probably not just me who sometimes – just sometimes feels this very strong urge to go out there and make something.
One of the best mornings I've ever had when I woke up randomly at 6 am (which almost never happens). I had tried to go back to sleep but just couldn't. I had a urge inside me to create something. I'd like to think that it was inspiration telling me to wake up and surprise the world with what I've got.
Perhaps surprising the world is not what I did. Surely the painting I completed that morning was not a masterpiece. Nonetheless, I got to experience one of the most amazing phenomena of the world. The one where creativity knocks gently on your door (or barges in like it owns the place), and asks for just five seconds of your attention. And you may granted it with five seconds or five hours, maybe even five years. But there’s nothing more special than those rare moments that creativity comes and personally greets you.
But here I am. On this blog. I’ve wanted to document my creative life for a while now. While drawing and painting is an obvious way to do so, I felt that doing it digitally and being able to do so through words would make it easier, or harder. But either way, hello there. You have somehow stumbled upon here, whether by accident (in which the best discoveries are made), or by chance. A short introduction is much long due.
I’m Ivana. Or if it makes it simpler for you, Ivy is just fine. I think anyone will tell you that they’ve been drawing for as long as they can remember—because it is true for so many of us. Of course I have a more detailed story about how art became not just something I did but a passion instead, but I’ll save that story for later. Anyways, welcome to my artistic journey. I hope you find it somewhat enjoyable.
